Australian Music Therapy Association

The Australian Music Therapy Association Inc. was founded in 1975 as the sole Australian organisation for the profession of music therapy. It is a member of the World Federation of Music Therapy and the Music Council of Australia. AMTA Inc. has State branches, special interest groups and representatives throughout Australia. It offers support and professional development for Registered Music Therapists, and general membership to anyone with an interest in music therapy.

AMTA is the professional accrediting body for all music therapy courses in Australia and grants registration status (RMT) to graduates.
