Art of Music

Due to the enormous success of the inaugural Art of Music in 2006, a second event will be staged at the Art Gallery of New South Wales on Saturday 31 May 2008.

Jenny Morris and Nordoff-Robbins present a unique event that combines visual arts and music. Fourteen prominent contemporary Australian visual artists are invited to create an original work inspired by their chosen iconic song. The project culminates with a dinner and auction of the paintings at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.

Come and rub shoulders with these eminent artists and the outstanding songwriters who have inspired them. Doors open at 6.30pm to view the artwork and the dinner starts at 7.00pm.

Tickets are $500 per ticket (which includes a tax deductible donation of $350 or other such amount). Tables of ten are $5,000.

The evening will be hosted by Jonathan Biggins and Georgina Pemberton from Sotheby's will be the auctioneer. Plus Neil Finn, Tim Finn, Dave Mason (The Reels) and Old Man River are all confirmed to perform on the evening.
